Supporting Children’s Transition to School
Some children take to school without any problems at all. From the very first day they walk through the school gates they seem to settle in, make friends and begin to achieve. However, for others the transition can be traumatic and the process long and painful. This course explores what ‘school readiness’ means and how Early Years Practitioners can be proactive in ensuring that children are ready for the changes ahead.

The course is an online course and so can be studied any time from your own home- there is no classroom attendance required and learners can enrol at any time. There are discounts available for multiple bookings.
To complete the Programme of Study you will need to pass the assignment which has three parts.
There is no formal exam and the certification fee is included in the course fees.

This course can be taken over a 4 week period but you can complete it as fast or as slowly as you wish.

• You will also be given guidance through our Study Guide on how to submit assignments and access your feedback

To pass this course learners must pass several assignments. These are completed after navigating through the corresponding lessons and writing your answers to assignment questions. Once these have been read and marked by your personal tutor, feedback and marks are provided to students which contain helpful tips to improve work in future assignments.
All of our students are assigned a personal tutor to guide them through course materials, mark their assignments and assist should students have any queries. Tutors can be contacted at any time throughout a course by sending a direct message within our online learning system.

Nursery Worker Income
The starting salary for junior or trainee nursery workers is from £10,000 to £14,000 a year, depending on age.
Qualified and experienced nursery workers can earn between £15,000 and £22,000, depending on responsibilities.
Nursery Management Income
Nursery managers can earn between £22,000 and £30,000 a year.
Deputy nursery managers can earn around £18,000 to £22,000 a year, and nursery room leaders may earn between £14,000 and £18,000 a year.
Primary School Teacher Income
The main salary scale is from £22,023 to £32,187 a year (£27,543 to £37,119 in inner London).
Full-time playworkers can earn between £12,000 and £20,000 a year. Managerial staff can earn between £25,000 and £30,000 a year.
The National Childminding Association (now Professional Association for Childcare and Early Years) Membership Survey 2012 reported that fees charged by childminders ranged from £3.63 to £5.42 an hour for each child, depending on the area of the country.
